The Long Walk

The first episode of the series traces the history of the penalty shootout from its first appearance at the World Cup in 1982 up to the 1990 tournament.

The second episode of the series examines more penalty dramas. It begins with the 1994 Men's World Cup in USA and end with a dramatic triumph for the country's women in the 1999 final.

The third and final episode of The Long Walk moves the shootout into a new millennium. England's curse was alive and well in 2006 but the three lions would finally find redemption 12 years later.
