Having served eight years for the murder of her husband, Dolly, released from prison, is mysteriously chauffeured around London until she arrives at a large manor, where she is greeted by ex-inmates who have a plan of their own. Meanwhile, Audrey demands that her son, DS Mike Withey, avenge Shirley's death.

Wise to their plans, Dolly agrees to split her cut from the diamond raid with the other women, so long as they agree to work for it and help renovate the house. Dolly arranges a meeting with Jimmy, unaware that it's a trap.

Dolly meets with Audrey. Connie returns to London and is attacked by her ex-boyfriend. Esther leaves when she believes that there is no money.

Dolly and Julia dispose of Lenny's body. The police raid again and arrest Kathleen. Angela reveals she is pregnant. Esther attacks Angela, leading to the revelation of Mike's connection to Shirley.

Fed up with Ester's schemes, Dolly gives the women an ultimatum as she reveals her plans to rob the mail train.

With Mike now onboard, the women prepare and carry out the mail train robbery. Esther misunderstands a conversation between Dolly and the police, leading to a dramatic conclusion.
