Hello everyone, and welcome back to Scary Interesting and to another collection of Horrible Fates. In this video, we’re going to over 3 stories of people who had something horrifying happen to them when they were extremely isolated. Two were deep in the mountains and the final was in the Antarctic. And as a result of them being in such remote locations we can only speculate about what really happened. On November 29th, 1781, the crew of a ship off course in the Caribbean held a desperate meeting. Below their feet were hundreds of people crammed into narrow spaces no human being should have ever had to suffer. As bad as that was, though, when the meeting was concluded, what happened to them next was far more disturbing. What the crew decided, and what they proceeded to do, was so horrific that it would go on to cause sweeping changes on an entire industry. This is their horrifying story, and as always, viewer discretion is advised. This is a historical look at the tragic story of the ship the Zong.

It all began with a boy stepping off a train and wandering into the busy station. Although he looked like countless others there that day, unfortunately, he stood out to one very important person. This was the beginning of a nightmare that would become one of the most disturbing and gruesome incidents in the city’s history. This is Bushman’s hole. On the surface, it’s just an unassuming, murky green pool at the bottom of a cliff face. Look under the water, though, and it changes entirely. The water is crystal clear, and it extends far deeper than the cliff face above. In fact, it is considered to be one of the deepest known freshwater caves on Earth. And that fact alone also makes it one of the most dangerous. In this video, we’re going to go over the horrifying incidents that have taken place here.

The American Civil War, by almost any measure, is the deadliest war the United States has ever fought. In fact, it is so far and away the worst by death toll that more soldiers were lost during it than WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan combined. And yet, despite the scale of the destruction, only 3 men were ever brought up on charges for atrocities committed during the entire conflict. As you might imagine, you’d have to be a special kind of evil to end up on this list. So, in this video, we're going to go over one of these men and what he did to end up there. But, horrifyingly, that’s not how it stayed. Over the years, it would become the exact opposite. The things that would go on to happen there and who they would happen to would be truly disturbing.
