Saying Goodbye

Despite starting off on the wrong foot, Elise and Ricky become the best of friends thanks to their shared admiration for an artist. Now in their seventh year of friendship, conflicts rise as their priorities in life start to differ.

With Elise still heartbroken over her father's death three years ago, Ricky finds it hard to tell her about his worsening heart condition. Following Tyron's advice, the aspiring pastry chef asks for his best friend's help to accomplish a to-do list.

Elise finally agrees to help Ricky accomplish his to-do list. They later receive a wonderful surprise at a Culinary Expo as they get a chance to tick off an item on the list. Meanwhile, sparks start to fly between Joni and Vic.

Upon learning of Vic and Joni's relationship, Ricky starts to feel the pressure in courting Elise. Despite getting his best friend's approval in going out on a friendly date, Ricky faces an unexpected obstacle.

Elise cannot help but feel upset with Olive for moving on easily as they commemorate William's death anniversary. Ricky continues to give his best friend the cold shoulder, only for his cousin Jericho to develop feelings for Elise.

Ricky chooses to hide his true feelings for Elise as Jericho goes all-out in courting her. However, a romantic surprise soon awaits Elise when her best friend finally finds the courage to follow his heart.

Ricky's loved ones find themselves at wit's end as he remains in critical condition. Clinging to hope that her best friend will recover, Elise goes against her belief to fulfill Ricky's wish. Guilt creeps up on Olive.

Everybody celebrates as Ricky receives news that there is hope for his transplant. Ricky and Elise now have less than a week to spend together and be truthful about their feelings before he flies to Korea for the surgery.
