Pitch Slapped

I take a look back at 2020 in the Pitch Perfect fandom. We will be taking a look at what the actresses have done this year as well as what you have been creating in the fandom from artwork, gifs and movie trailers. As well as taking a look at some of your favourite fan fiction from the year. We will also be doing some charts of the most read fan fiction of the year on Fanfiction.net and AO3 as well as the most read one shots of the year on AO3. Can you guess which fics made in 2020 were the most read of 2020?

Singing, Choreography, team building, fundraising and of course more singing. I talk to Maisie about her experience joining a University A Cappella group the DeciBelles, getting addicted to the craft and going on to join the Aquapella. Where they went on to compete in the final of the ICCA's in America in 2019. We delve deep into the lifestyle, the sacrifices made to be in such a group as well as why so many performers fall in love with the family and community they get out of it. Is it anything like what we see in Pitch Perfect? Lets find out.

I spoke to the fanfic writer Another Bechloe Shipper about their fic Chloe and the Music Therapist and how she tried to represent her experience as a parent with an autistic child. I also talk to the fanfic writer RidiculouslyOverObsessed who is autistic and what it means to them about having strong autistic representation. What is a fan fiction Beta? I caught up with Carter who put together The Pitch Perfect Beta Doc. A project to help fan fiction writers connect with people willing beta work. Not really knowing about Beta's myself it was great to hear how many ways people get involved in the fandom and help support creators and their work.
