One on One

For the brothers Ousman and Malik, football is life. When two unknown people come to their training, the family becomes afraid that they are the police as they are in the country illegally. They are now banned from continuing to play football. A story about dreams of a football contract and a better life. Which is more important, talent or hard training? The inseparable brothers Ousman and Malik are ultimately set against each other at the crossroads of life.

The first day at the new club, the brothers Ousman and Malik realize that they now have to train on a whole new level. When the other players start arguing with Malik, he is not late to take revenge. Ousman tries to invite the cashier Jenny on a date. Unfortunately, she is not at all interested in football.

The football club will play a match and both Ousman and Malik hope to start. The brothers surprise the family with the first salary from football. Ousman goes on a date with Jenny, where he has to fight to find things to talk about.

The brothers arrive late for training due to Malik's partying. When Ousman tries to overcompensate, he gets injured in the foot. Malik goes out and parties in the evening again, even though he promised Ousman not to do it. Ousman is invited home to Jenny's apartment.

Only one of the brothers can fit in the team. Ousman tries to keep his cool and keep the ball out of the net. Malik impresses with his coach on the wing. Ousman and Jenny take the next step in their relationship and the family receives news from the Swedish Migration Board.

After the father's breakdown, the family is divided. Ousman goes on heavy painkillers to cope with the training and promises his mother to be with Malik again, while the relationship with Jenny is put on its head. Malik agrees to train according to Ousman's training program, but does Ousman push him too hard?

Without competition, Ousman shines on the pitch but it does not feel as good as he thought it would. He tries to repair the relationship with Jenny, and Malik tries to accept life without football.

The family gets a chance to enter France and seek asylum there, and decides to take it. But which of the brothers gets the last contract and the place in the team?
