Jen invites Renaud to return to Val-Paradis so they can investigate together. Renaud admires Jen's determination to find the truth about her sister's disappearance, so he agrees to join her to ensure that no clues escaped him three years earlier.

Renaud questions the motivations behind bullying, having been a victim of it himself; the locals of Val-Paradis don't necessarily appreciate the investigator's return to their peaceful small village.

Renaud finds something in room 35 that might hurt him. This discovery also puts everyone in Val-Paradis on edge, including Brigitte and Renaud, who worry that a secret will be revealed.

Jen looks for answers, as she wants to know some aspects of her condition; grave suspicions fall on Simon, Carl and William regarding the affair.

Geneviève, investigator and spouse of Renaud, arrives in Val-Paradis along with other reinforcements. She handles the investigation of the network in hand and intends to tear down the network, which rages well beyond the remote village.

Renaud finds a potential culprit with the help of multiple shared clues; the culprits put up no fight, as they have lost control over their destiny.
