36 young men gather from around the world to compete for the chance to make their K-pop idol debut.

The everyday boys perform on their first stage ever! Who in their teams will be voted the audience's favorite member? The boys who finished their first stage in front of many Mates. The first stage rankings are announced.

The contestants are split into two groups based on ranks. Each group is given a legendary k-pop song that they must master the choreography for in just 24 hours. Which team will come out on top?

The competition officially begins and elimination is now a risk. The first mission is “one artist, two stages”. Group A and B continue to go head-to-head as they form 3 smaller units within the groups. The units are given 1 of 3 artists (SHINee, 2PM, TXT) and opposing units are given 1 of 2 songs by the artist they get.

The fate of the 35 boys is revealed. Who will be able to continue their journey as MA1? Despite the shock from the announcement, there is no time to waste. The 2nd round mission is right around the corner.
