YEUNG TAK-KEI is a commis 3 chef in a restaurant and a self-proclaimed super sleuth. One day, his lady boss Mrs. MA discovers that someone stole one thousand dollars from the cash register. Seeing that receptionist LING-LING is falsely accused of theft, TAK-KEI braves out to help prove her innocence. TAK-KEI asks LING-LING out but LING-LING rejects him. It turns out that LING-LING has an affair with the boss, Mr. MA, the video clip of which is later recorded by TAK-KEI. Mr. MA urges his employees to stay alert after learning that Miphelin reviewers will come to eat in his restaurant. MAK SEI arrives at the restaurant and wants to meet the head chef. However, the head chef is otherwise occupied, leaving the manager no other choice but to tell TAK-KEI to handle the situation. CHU SAU-NA goes to the kitchen to look around. Meanwhile, a private investigator disguises as a Miphelin reviewer to probe into Mr. MA's scandal and blackmail case.… ...

TAK-KEI teams up with KA-KA to assist a well-known noodles shop, and KA-KA is impressed by his righteousness. TAK-KEI introduces KA-KA to SAU-NA, who instead raises the price sky-high after learning that the owner of the flour factory is a gang member. Risking his own life to investigate the case, TAK-KEI plants a tracking device in the suspect's clothes and finally sees the suspect enter a karaoke club together with the owner of the flour factory. However, the mission ends in failure. TAK-KEI runs into MAK SEI at the Ching Hoi Noodles Shop. Coincidentally, both of them notice that there is something wrong with the noodles, so they go to the factory together with KA-KA to probe into the matter. With his culinary whiz, MAK SEI exposes the company's tainted food scandal, resulting in the company being closed down, which eventually protects the noodles shop from gang harassment.… ...

In order to find MAK SEI, they go to a village where they see MAK TONG, aka Uncle TONG. Following a clue, they arrive at a second-hand shop to invite MAK SEI to join their detective agency. Ironically, they are instead being pranked. Though KA-KA has gone through the effort to find the eggs requested by MAK SEI, MEI SEI emphasizes that he is not going to join them unless he eats the egg puffs made by Brother HONG in person. Eventually, they manage to fulfill MAK SEI's wish and make him feel the sentimental value that the food holds. Therefore, MAK SEI agrees to join the agency. SAU-NA tells TAK-KEI to stay up all night to look after MAK SEI, which almost leads to catastrophic consequences. With MAK SEI's joining, SAU-NA is hired to investigate an injury on duty case, alleging SILLY CHIU is involved in a fraud. TAK-KEI is harassed while monitoring the suspect, and he is almost run over by a car.… ...

After TAK-KEI and MAK SEI discover that SILLY CHIU wants to go to an exotic club, TAK-KEI refuses to tail after him anymore but MAK SEI forces him to continue. Suddenly, someone wreaks havoc in the second-hand shop, making Mrs SHUM feel very frightened; whereas OI-KIU also learns that her father SHUM WING once again owes a lot of money. TAK-KEI and MAK SEI follow OI-KIU, thinking she is linked to the injury on duty case. They end up being taken back to the police station for questioning. TAK-KEI claims that he is a private investigator but the police do not believe him; whereas MAK SEI wants to meet someone called CHICKEN WAH. In a washroom, MAK SEI bumps into KWOK-WAH who instantly runs away to the rooftop terrace. OI-KIU tails after her mother only to find out that she goes to meet up with SHUM WING. On the other hand, SILLY CHIU asks SHUM WING whether he owes someone a lot of money, adding that he can help him solve the problem.… ...

To find SILLY CHIU's weakness, SAU-NA and KA-KA go to work in a bar, seeking an opportunity to get close to him. SILLY CHIU shows no interest in SAU-NA as he finds her too old, instead he actively makes small talk with KA-KA. KA-KA then goes to SILLY CHIU's home and successfully plants a spy cam there. SAU-NA and the others track SILLY CHIU and SHUM WING to an industrial building, where they surprisingly run into OI-KIU. After they solve the case, SAU-NA thinks OI-KIU is very special because she put righteousness above her own family. Upon their return to the agency, SAU-NA announces to them that she has officially invited OI-KIU to join them. Out of the blue, SIU-LIN bursts in to look for KO YAN. At first, all of them think she and KO YAN have some relationship issues. It's not until later that they come to realise that SIU-LIN is actually their client.… ...

MAK SEI and TAK-KEI secretly tail after the female employee in hopes of gathering evidence of her affair with SAI-KAN. SAI-KAN takes SIU-LIN to try on wedding gowns and he even invites KEIRA to help them. TAK-KEI and the others feel very suspicious of him. TAK-KEI and KA-KA take a baking class, and their instructor is CHOW CHING. During the class, KA-KA appears to be preoccupied. When CHOW CHING leaves, MAK SEI notices that KWOK-WAH keeps following her. KA-KA tells TAK-KEI that a memory flashed before her eyes, so she hopes that TAK-KEI can help her investigate her past. TAK-KEI and MAK SEI continue to follow SAI-KAN and eventually arrive at a private club, following which MAK SEI tells TAK-KEI to finish the job within eight minutes, otherwise, he will be in danger. Suddenly, KWOK-WAH asks MAK SEI for help because he wants to help CHOW CHING bring back the original flavor of the cake, urging MAK SEI to give them a hand.… ...

Looking for a lost dog, MAK SEI and OI-KIU go to work at Lau Fau Shan but to no avail. MAK SEI receives a phone call, informing him that they made some progress in SAI-KAN's case. SAI-KAN plans a candlelight dinner for SIU-LIN, who is deeply moved. SAU-NA meets up with a client, however, she uncovers that she herself is the target of the client's investigation. Instantly, she flips out and hits the client. After she arrives at the hospital, she finds out that she missed SIU-LIN's call. SAU-NA spots KEIRA and SAI-KAN in the hospital, so she goes forward trying to eavesdrop on their conversation, only to find out that SIU-LIN died from a food allergy reaction. MAK SEI is told to look for SIU-LIN's mobile phone, but after he arrives at the scene, he is instead attracted to the delicious food on the table. TAK-KEI approaches SAI-KAN's friend without difficulty, yet he almost ends up being sexually harassed.… ...

In order to find the murder weapon used to kill SIU-LIN, MAK SEI disguises as an Arabian man to trick someone into giving him the list of the customers who bought the honey, hoping that it will help solve the case. While SAI-KAN is still grieving over SIU-LIN's death, KEIRA not only confesses her affection to him, but also admits that she killed SIU-LIN out of jealousy. Eventually, the murder of SIU-LIN comes to light, following which SAI-KAN tells TAK-KEI and the others as to what happened to him and SIU-LIN. KO YAN and SAU-NA can officially file for a divorce after two years of separation, so KO YAN forces SAU-NA to leave the detective agency, otherwise, he is going to take the house, but SAU-NA refuses. KO YAN threatens that he will split the money if they end up in litigation. TAK-KEI and KA-KA go to the mountain peak to view the sea of clouds and they even plan to spend the night there.… ...

MAK SEI wakes up early in the morning and finds that TAK-KEI is in a good mood. It turns out that his relationship with KA-KA is progressing. Apart from revealing the background of the detective agency, SAU-NA also actively gets close to MAK SEI, and her father turns out to be the Gourmet Detective. Seeing that he has been avoiding her, SAU-NA opens up about what's on her mind. All of a sudden, MAK SEI and OI-KIU receive a call from AH-CHOI who asks for help, so they rush over. While there, AH-CHOI asks her to help fix the radio left by her late mother. Having learned about AH-CHOI's past, OI-KIU thinks that AH-CHOI is very brave and she cannot help feeling ashamed of herself. Social worker KWOK YAT-MING goes to visit Uncle TONG and even pretends to be his son in an attempt to deceive him into handing over all his money.… ...

MAK SEI and OI-KIU impersonate grey-market vendors to investigate the counterfeit baby formula case, and they run into SHUM WING after they sneak into a warehouse to check things out. After MAK SEI learns about OI-KIU's hearing impairment, he asks her what caused it, so OI-KIU recalls her childhood. It turns out that SHUM WING slapped her on the head, resulting in her hearing loss; whereas MAK SEI also comes to realize the leftover resentments that OI-KIU has towards her father. KA-KA falls ill, so TAK-KEI tries his best to look after her. They look very happy together, making CHOW CHING green with envy. When TAK-KEI goes to cook the congee for KA-KA, CHOW CHING physically bumps into him and purposely gets herself injured, leaving TAK-KEI no other choice but to agree to be her assistant and take part in the baking competition.… ...

After MAK SEI returns from the police station, TAK-KEI taunts him on purpose; whereas SAU-NA thinks there is something fishy about the case. AH-CHOI goes missing, luckily OI-KIU later finds her at the pier, yet she keeps blaming herself. MAK SEI disguises as a senior and returns to the village to try out the big bowl feast again, only to find out that there is one ingredient missing, which is a kind of mushroom that he had the other day. While OI-KIU claims that she did not find anything particularly suspicious after looking through all the photos they took at the feast, KA-KA suddenly recalls that there should also be lots of videos taken by the people who attended the feast. As such, the two start looking for those who took the videos. MAK SEI gets suspicious of YAT-MING, so TAK-KEI and the others decide to follow him.… ...

TAK-KEI and KA-KA pay a visit to CHOW CHING and learn that the date of the competition is pushed back. Nevertheless, CHOW CHING tells them that she still can't recreate the original flavor of the cake. When KWOK-WAH buys late-night nosh for CHOW CHING, he bumps into TAK-KEI and KA-KA, which makes him feel very uncomfortable. Without saying anything, TAK-KEI drags along KWOK-WAH and takes him outside. At that moment, MAK SEI suddenly appears with a knife in his hand, so KWOK-WAH thinks that he is coming to punish him. OI-KIU repairs the audio recorder for AH-CHOI, and to her surprise, she uncovers an important piece of evidence while trying out the recorder. In order to gather more evidence, TAK-KEI and KA-KA disguise themselves as seniors to sneak into the tour organized by YAT-MING. At night, YAT-MING sees MAK SEI on the street, and MAK SEI starts insulting him.… ...

Getting down on his knees, MAK SEI apologizes to Uncle TONG, blaming himself for his mother's death. To his surprise, Uncle TONG does not even recognize his son, MAK SEI, on top of which he even mistakes OI-KIU for his daughter-in-law and hands her the cookbook, making MAK SEI and OI-KIU feel very awkward. After a nude photo of KWOK-WAH is rapidly spread through the internet, everybody from the police station is talking about it. KWOK-WAH clarifies that these photos were taken two years ago when he was debt-ridden, but he has paid off the debts; whereas MAK SEI comes up with an idea to deal with it after realizing that it's TAI-WAI who used these photos to threaten KWOK-WAH. SAU-NA invites the employees of the detective agency to a nightclub in celebration of her being single again after her divorce. While SAU-NA and MAK SEI are dancing together, they bump into KO YAN.… ...

TAK-KEI sneaks into KA-KA's bedroom and discovers the badge that belonged to ISAAC in her closet, so he suspects that KA-KA's ex-boyfriend should be the same one as CHOW CHING's. MAK SEI and OI-KIU send the counterfeit baby formula for lab tests, and OI-KIU is very worried, knowing that SHUM WING fell victim to a scam. Seeing that SHUM WING continues to borrow money from his wife, OI-KIU starts getting suspicious of him. KWOK-WAH pours out his complaint before TAK-KEI, claiming that CHOW CHING has been playing with him. Tailing after SHUM WING, OI-KIU and MAK SEI surprisingly see CHING-MUI work at a foot massage place, and they are greatly puzzled by what they see. They turn around and follow CHING-MUI, only to find out that she enters a room together with a man.

To find out her mother's whereabouts, OI-KIU joins forces with MAK SEI to disguise themselves and follow TUNG. Surprisingly, they see CHING-MUI get entangled with TUNG, so they not only get suspicious of the relationship between CHING-MUI and TUNG, but also pretend to be gangsters to chase him off. However, OI-KIU cannot help getting suspicious of her own background. KA-KA goes to see CHOW CHING and apologize to her for having wrecked her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, but CHOW CHING refuses to forgive her. CHOW CHING eventually breaks up with KWOK-WAH. CHOW CHING asks KA-KA out to a fish raft, and while there, she accuses KA-KA of stealing her ex-boyfriend and murder. KA-KA uses what she learned from MAK SEI and the others to argue with CHOW CHING, the two end up fighting against each other. It's like déjà vu all over again. CHOW CHING falls into the sea and everything comes to light.

OI-KIU and CHING-MUI return home, and CHING-MUI hopes that OI-KIU can keep it a secret from SHUM WING, to which OI-KIU agrees. After they open the door, they out of the blue see TUNG in their home. TUNG blackmails CHING-MUI for money, putting her in a dilemma. OI-KIU finds it very strange however, CHING-MUI still refuses to reveal the truth, rendering her speechless. Meanwhile, TUNG becomes more aggressive.

MAK SEI, SHUM WING and the others run to the rooftop terrace to evade a customs dragnet. TUNG admits that he has lost one hundred thousand dollars, so OI-KIU asks him whether it's the money that CHING-MUI lent him. Having heard this, SHUM WING is boiling with anger, leaving OI-KIU no other choice but to reveal the truth. SHUM WING accuses CHING-MUI of infidelity after knowing what really happened, but MAK SEI suddenly appears, emphasizing that OI-KIU is indeed SHUM WING's biological daughter. However, he reveals another fact that devastates SHUM WING. SHUM WING cannot bear it anymore after the ugly truth is revealed, so he dashes to the top of the building and wants to kill himself. SAU-NA gets invited to meet up with TONG YIU-WAH. In the meantime, she is also hired by his wife KO MAN, who wants her to investigate whether her husband is having an affair.… ...

OI-KIU and MAK SEI are told to follow Brother TAK. After staying up all night, OI-KIU is tired and starving suddenly, MAK SEI shows up to give her breakfast. They later follow Brother TAK to a dried seafood shop, where OI-KIU is discovered while trying to secretly film him. MAK SEI receives a call from SAU-NA, saying that YIU-WAH died suddenly. Upon MAK SEI's return, all the staff members of the restaurant are held for questioning. TAI-WAI searches MAK SEI and uncovers a notebook with all the information about YIU-WAH in it. SAU-NA tells KO MAN about what they have found, adding that YIU-WAH's death must have something to do with his mistress. Meanwhile, KA-KA tails after YIU-WAH's mistress and finds her meeting up with a private investigator. It turns out that the mistress is also trying to investigate KO MAN's affair.… ...

Through the spy cam, MAK SEI and the others know that the one with whom KO MAN has an affair turns out to be TAI-WAI. TAK-KEI attempts to mend fences with KA-KA, but she is not moved at all. TAI-WAI suddenly resigns and he even threatens KWOK-WAH that he will definitely take him down with him if anything happens to him, to which KWOK-WAH frankly discloses that he is going to turn himself in to his supervisor. While MAK SEI and OI-KIU return to the restaurant to ask the bartender about what actually happened regarding the incident, KWOK-WAH sneaks into TAI-WAI's office to download some information from his computer. However, he is shot when he goes to meet up with MAK SEI. On the other hand, MAK SEI's tongue injury ruins his sense of taste, yet he is still worrying about KWOK-WAH's injuries. Following YIU-WAH's death, KO MAN takes over his business and appoints TAI-WAI to be the board member of the company.… ...

MAK SEI feels like his mouth is on fire after having the food arranged by TAI-WAI. However, when the host asks him for the ingredients, MAK SEI cannot tell at all because he lost the sense of taste. Fortunately, OI-KIU drops a hint in the nick of time. Using the water to keep washing his mouth, MAK SEI then claims that TAI-WAI will definitely try to put poison in KO MAN's food. KO YAN is charged with raping an underage girl, ending up losing everything, and his female assistants all jump ship as soon as they learn of it. Running into SAU-NA, KO YAN thinks that she is going to taunt him, to his surprise, SAU-NA instead tries to comfort him. At the banquet, KO MAN out of the blue passes out after having the food prepared by TAK-KEI. In the meantime, TAI-WAI insists that the food is poisoned. TAK-KEI claims that he is innocent; whereas TAI-WAI unmasks MAK SEI and OI-KIU, alleging that they are TAK-KEI's accomplices.… ...
