心霊マスターテープ

Overview

‘Paranormal documentaries’—which investigate footage believed to show ghosts, captured by chance on video cameras, and other inexplicable phenomena—are now widely available and have established themselves as a genre in their own right. Yet, long before this genre first emerged in the late 1990s, back in the 1980s, Japan’s very first ‘paranormal documentary’ already existed!? The film depicts the inexplicable events that befall the paranormal directors and others involved who gather around Kotaro Terauchi and his assistant, Nao Suzumoto, as they investigate Japan’s first paranormal home video submission, *The Unknown World of the Supernatural*.
