Grindavík

Reykjanesið wakes up when a large earthquake occurs in the vicinity of Grindavík in 2020. The next three years will be characterized by earthquakes in the immediate vicinity of Grindvík that affect daily life.

November 10, 2023 turns out to be a fateful day in the history of Grindvíking, who are forced to evacuate their town and become refugees in their own country. The town's basketball team continues to compete and becomes a unifying symbol for the townspeople.

When the Grindvíkings have started to prepare for their return home, misfortunes hit. Suddenly, the possibility of a return seems nowhere in sight. The town's basketball team are the lights in the darkness.
