Brandon is a former attorney from Shanghai who gave up his family, friends, and job in China to live openly as a gay man in the U.S. where he is studying to pass the California bar exam and help others with immigration issues.

Stacy is a transgender refugee who escaped the dangerous and intolerant environment in El Salvador and is currently working as a housekeeper in downtown L.A. while finalizing her case for asylum and competing in beauty pageants.

Elaheh was born in Iran but escaped to the US to live safely as a Lesbian refugee and fulfill her dream as a bodybuilder.
