Overview

Don Quixote is a famous novel by Miguel de Cervantes, first published in the early 17th century. It tells the story of Alonso Quixano, a man who becomes obsessed with tales of knights and decides to become one himself, taking the name Don Quixote. Together with his loyal companion Sancho Panza, he travels across Spain seeking adventures and justice. Because he often confuses fantasy with reality, he finds himself in many humorous situations, including his famous battle with windmills. The novel explores themes of dreams, reality, idealism, and friendship. Today, Don Quixote is considered one of the greatest works of world literature.
