Bangers, mash with a side of live poetry? What a way to start the year! Poet, comedian, actor and screenwriter, Tim Key joins Nick and Angela after a big year, including the release of The Ballad of Wallis Island, the critically acclaimed film he co-wrote and stars in alongside longtime collaborator and friend Tom Basden. Based on a short they made nearly two decades ago, the film has gone on to win three British Independent Film Awards. Not bad going. Tim also chats about and shares a sneak peek of his new poetry book L.A. Baby! and his stand-up show Loganberry. With a Five Points beer in hand, Angela serves a sticky sausage and apple braise, a sweet twist on a British classic. The dish is paired with a glass of Château Maris Organic Les Planels, selected by the Waitrose wine team. Post bangers and mash, and with an Amaretto tipple in hand, the trio get into life’s bigger questions: Where do you draw the line on what’s acceptable to eat in the bath?

It’s our Mother’s Day special on Dish and to mark the occasion, we’re joined by award-winning actor and proud potato enthusiast, ‪Jennifer Garner‬! Known for her roles in Alias, the cult rom-com 13 Going on 30, and more recently The Last Thing He Told Me, ‪@jennifer.garner‬ is also a mum of three, making her the perfect guest for the day. A self-confessed “serious mom cook”, her love of food has been shaped by her own mum’s influence, with “Pat’s brisket” still holding a special place in her heart. That passion has even led to her much-loved Pretend Cooking Show on Instagram, where Pat has made a few brilliant cameos over the years.

Louis Theroux is a BAFTA-winning documentarian, journalist, broadcaster and author, and not someone to let a pre-show lunch get in the way of a Dish feast. Over paloma cocktails, Nick and Angela enjoy an hour in the company of the legendary interviewer, who started making documentaries for the BBC in 1998. He joins us to talk about his new Netflix film, Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere, where he journeys into the controversial world of websites, shows and influencers promoting ultra-masculinity and misogyny.

Soup and Take That. Both equally essential to the life of Sara Pascoe – but sadly for her, only one of them is ending up in a bowl this week… What could it be? Comedian and writer Sara Pascoe joins Nick and Angela, bringing her trademark mix of warmth, chaos and unwavering devotion to Take That. She tells us all about Zero Stars, her new TLC series with Roisin Conaty, where the pair travel the world reviewing the worst‑rated places they can find.

Possibly our first guest to look back fondly on school meals… This week we’re joined by comedian and podcaster Maisie Adam for an Easter feast and a chat about her upcoming tour, Whatsherface. Fresh from appearing in the second series of Last One Laughing, Maisie tells Nick and Angela how the tour got its name and why life on the road is still the best part of the job.

Bow down to the King of Crimping! On this episode of Dish, we have a wonderful time in the company of Irish singer-songwriter, Niall Horan. Niall rose to prominence as a member of One Direction and, following the band’s hiatus, has been releasing music and touring as a solo artist. His latest single, Dinner Party, is out now, with an album of the same name, due out on 5 June.

Comedian, writer, actress, podcaster and most iconically former proud pet-snail owner, Harriet joins us around the dinner table to chat about her upcoming tour Floozy, kicking off in October and running through to early 2027. From allergies to aversions, Harriet's food preferences were decisive, but one thing's for sure: she was blown away by Angela's flavours in this week's vegetable bounty. On the menu: golden aubergine with purple sprouting broccoli, honey-baked feta and preserved lemon dressing, a recipe by Diana Henry.
