Damned Saint

Reinaldo's life is shaken when his wife is shot and goes into a vegetative state. Faced with a very high hospital bill and with no prospect of seeing his wife improve, Reinaldo opts for euthanasia. However, unexpectedly, she wakes up. Pastor Samuel believes that Reinaldo has performed a miracle, so he offers him money to preach to his congregation.

Reinaldo expects to return to his normal life, but the church and its parishioners aren’t done with Pastor Rei. Now, Paulo, a member of the church and the hospital nurse who filmed the "miracle", wants Reinaldo’s help to bring his mother, who is in a vegetative state, back to life. Reinaldo's daughter, meanwhile, begins to grow suspicious of what her father is up to.

Reinaldo finds himself living a double life after he accepts Samuel's offer to continue preaching in exchange for more money. Later, Reinaldo’s commitment to the community deepens when he meets a faithful parishioner who is a victim of domestic violence. Now, the moral leader of the church, Pastor Rei, must find a way to help the woman.

Reinaldo’s mother Eleonora, who has always believed her son was something of a saint, appears at church. For his part, Reinaldo has blocked out memories of his childhood. Later, Reinaldo faces a dilemma after his daughter finds out about his double life. Samuel’s brother Sinval returns from a stint in hell.

Gabriela pleads with her father to bring an end to his secret life, but while he feels guilty, he also realizes that he is actually helping people who are suffering. Later, Gabriela goes missing after being invited by Dinei to a party, and during the search Reinaldo confronts suppressed memories from his childhood.

Gabriela faces a frightening situation in which she is forced to use drugs and defend herself from an attack. Reinaldo and Dinei fight in a confusing and fatal confrontation. Also, Maria Clara is increasingly haunted by visions as she struggles without sight, but just as she regains it, she remembers a haunting memory from her time in a coma.

Reinaldo turns to Samuel after he is kicked out by Maria Clara and his daughter turns her back on him. Sonia and Reinaldo spend a special, almost sacred, night together. Just as Reinaldo begins to truly believe in his gift, he and his flock are dealt a shocking revelation from a fervent believer.

Reinaldo decides to accept the invitation to preach at Bishop Joyce’s church. Convinced of his gift, Reinaldo confronts a difficult truth — his father, Josias, reveals that his supposed miracles are merely illusions to block memories of a trauma he suffered as a child. As he faces a packed church, Reinaldo rises to pulpit intent on setting things straight.
