Welcome to the final episode of Let’s Rewind, the show where we look back at the early days of some of Hollywood’s most legendary actors. This month we're looking at one of the industry's most lovable performers–a gentle soul in life, but a force to be reckoned with on screen: the indescribable Steven Buscemi. But, long before he was an indie darling or a master of both comedy and drama… he was just a dude, doing the New York grind, and proving himself to as many people as he could as diligently as any actor could. And lucky for us... his talent was recognized.

But, for now, Spider-Man 3. Ah yes, the black spider-sheep of the family. But what if... what if I did something so insane that I can maybe sorta just kind pull out the remnants of something half decent from the rubble, but turning the worst Spider-Man movie into any episode... of The Twilight Zone. No looking back now.

But, for now, King Kong! That movie that showed us we could've gotten such a great mid-stage career from director Peter Jackson, were it not for a few unfortunate events. King Kong might be long, but I believe every one of those 187 minutes was justified. And here's why.

But, for now, Dogma! Kevin Smith's greatest film. And Alan Rickman's greatest role! Anyway, but actually. This movie was something super special. Dogma was a hilarious satire on certain institutions... while actually be very positive towards the spirituality behind them. Still, it got a lot of bad press when it released in 1999. And Dogma has been tough to get ahold of ever since.... until now.

But, for now, Ex Machina! One of the greatest bottle movies of all time. Alex Garland pulls a subtle twist that makes you realize even your protagonist is lying to you. It's such a narratively tight film, yet endlessly complex and rewatchable. I've always believed, it's some of the most elegantly "small" films that have the most to teach us about great filmmaking.
