Britain's Forgotten Men

In the first episode, we meet Aaron, the hard working dad who enjoys “a bit of football thuggery.” But when some of his mates are attacked at a city centre pub, the firm swear revenge. On the streets of Moston, we meet a gaggle of kids bunking off school. White working class boys like these are now the worst performers at GCSE and as the series develops we see the consequences.

In the second episode we’re at Joanne’s house, where we see her doing her best to look out for the kids on her estate, but even she’s struggling to keep them out of trouble. We meet Jack, who spent his youth in and out of prison, but thinks he's found a way out. And it’s Derby Day in Manchester, when fans of United and City clash and the police try to maintain order.

In the third instalment of Britain’s Forgotten Men, the Cornerhouse squatters are facing eviction. With nowhere to go and temperatures plummeting, it’s up to Chris to find a solution – but not everyone is on board. Six brothers are in for a Friday night at Tina’s house, but Dale is missing his boy. And Jack hits upon an idea to help other lads in Wythenshawe.

In the series finale, Jimmy is preparing for another shot at the big time, back on the bill at Manchester Arena with his career on the line. The Moston boys have worked out how to get a girlfriend and Jack reveals the truth about his rehabilitation from a life of crime.
