Overview

When you know you're going to die, it takes even more courage to decide to donate your body to science. Donors' bodies take on a life of their own as they become a learning tool for anatomy students and help surgeons master pioneering techniques. Mike and Diana have both chosen to bequeath their bodies to science but they are not the only people affected by their decision.

Documentary series following two people who have donated their bodies to science, both before the death and after. Diana has time to plan her own memorial service, while Mike meets the anatomy students who will be working on his cadaver.

Diana's body is frozen and used by specialists and surgeons, while student Emily begins her dissection classes on Mike's body. Later, the students and families come together to honour the donors.
