Overview

Big Ballet is a documentary which follows a troupe of plus-size dancers as they try to realise their dream of taking part in Swan Lake. Wayne Sleep wants to unlock the world of ballet for a much wider audience and break one of the biggest taboos in ballet, which is size.

Around two hundred auditionees are cut down to 18 men and women, to create the Big Ballet troupe. Wayne and Monica attempt to harness the dancers' passion as they teach them classical ballet.
