Hey there, Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts here! I'm so excited for Black History Month this year and excited to share on the vlog today my favorite family recipe - Black Eyed Peas! It was so fun to make Granny Vi’s recipe with Dad and also to learn so much about our family history. I’m so proud to be a part of this incredible community. Happy Black History Month!

Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! On this vlog, Renee and I play a game of charades to learn how her family celebrates this amazing holiday! I loved learning about her family’s traditions and how this is a huge celebration for a lot of East, South, and Southeast Asian communities. Hope you all have a great New Year!

Notice anything different? I’m vertical now! And I’m starting off my new look with a new look, that I found by cleaning out my closet. It was so much fun going through my old clothes and reliving memories but I had no idea Skipper wanted to join in too! Come back for part 2!

After my crazy result from the career quiz I took at school, it really got me thinking about my future and all the great female entrepreneur role models out there! These women are passionate and innovative and I hope to be just like them someday. What do you want to be when you grow up?

More closet clean-up! This time we have three categories: Keep, Toss, and Skipper. It’s sometimes hard to let favorite outfits go but I’m glad we get to keep some great looks in the family! You can pull off anything, Skip!

It’s been so fun spending time with Brooklyn and her family and friends in New York City. And tonight we’ll be babysitting her god-siblings Jackson and Jayla! Brooklyn has put together her top babysitting tips and I couldn’t be more excited to jump in! Thanks, B!

We had to show some love to nature for Earth Day with backyard camping! Skipper, Brooklyn, and I each came prepared to have a fun hangout under the stars. I’m still thinking of that PB&J s’more Brooklyn made! Hope you can have some outdoor fun this Earth Day too!

Chelsea helped me with a super fun science model: showing the distance between the Earth and the Moon! It’s so cool how something that seems so close is actually super far away! Sorry about the fall down the slide, Chels!

When my dad and I discovered it was #NationalHighFiveDay , we just knew we had to celebrate. And what better way than a How Many High Fives in a Minute Challenge! I was really impressed with how many we came up with! Love you, Dad!

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month so to celebrate, Renee and I wanted to learn about the impacts Asian American and Pacific Islander Americans have made to our culture and history—all while eating hot wings! I learned so much and got to try some delicious Asian spices! Check it out!

Hi everyone, Barbie and Renee here. We thought it would be a good idea if I came on the Vlog to talk about something really serious—racism against the AAPI community. Here are some jumping-off points for how to be an ally and a friend to the AAPI community. It’s so important to call out discrimination when you see it and to listen and learn from the people affected.

Keeping the celebration of AAPI month going, I’ve invited Renee on the vlog to share one of her favorite foods: lychee! It is such a cool little fruit that packs such a refreshing flavor—it’s used in so many Asian foods. I love and appreciate Renee so much for helping me try something new to me from Asian cultures to broaden my horizons and understanding. Thanks, Renee!

You all know how much I LOVE to dance and also spend time with my best friend Ken, so we just had to do the Last Move First Move Challenge! Ken obviously blew me out of the water with his Bhangra moves but I had so much fun! Thanks, Ken!

It is so true what they say about best laid plans. I had every intention of doing some self-care, some relaxing, some centering, but looks like Taffy had another idea! I do love spending time with such a sweet puppy and I thought you’d enjoy it too!

Barbie learned how to make a bee hotel from a member of Roots & Shoots, the youth activism program of the Jane Goodall Institute. Roots & Shoots provides the resources to encourage and motivate young people to take action on issues that matter to them.

Back to School is here! I found all kinds of stuff while I was cleaning out my old backpack, including a really sweet letter from Chelsea! Love you, Chels! Hope you enjoy this backpack as much as I did!
