Born in the shadows of Hollywood's motion picture studios, Wendy Drew had to travel three thousand miles across the country before receiving recognition as one of the outstanding young actresses of the day. Wendy wanted to give up California and try her luck on Broadway, but her family felt that at thirteen she wasn't quite old enough to live alone in New York.
