Von Flores is a Filipino-Canadian actor who has starred in a number of television and film productions. He is often cast as commanding or aggressive characters. Flores was born in Malabon, Philippines, in 1960. He immigrated to Canada with his family when he was 13 years old. He studied chemistry at the University of Toronto, but eventually dropped out to pursue a career in acting.
