From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Virginia Dale (July 1, 1917 – October 3, 1994) was an American film actress, who was born Virginia Paxton, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She appeared in a number of movies in the 1930s and 1940s, including Holiday Inn, and became particularly associated with musicals.
