Pete Williams is an English singer-songwriter, bassist, and founding member of the influential new wave/soul group Dexys Midnight Runners. He joined the band at age 18 and served as the original bass player, performing on the group's acclaimed 1980 debut album, "Searching for the Young Soul Rebels", and played on their first UK number-one single, "Geno".
