Biography

Song Chenchen, born in 1942, was a dancer of the National Ballet of China. Since childhood, she was interested in literature and art, and wished to work in music. In 1954, the Beijing Dance School selected then 12-year-old song Chenchen to study ballet. In 1964, Song Chenchen was selected to play the company commander in the ballet "Red Detachment of Women".
