Biography

Giulio Cesare Silvagni (1900–1984) was an Italian writer, actor, painter, and set designer who worked primarily in French. Trained in the visual arts, he collaborated throughout the 1920s and 1930s with major figures of cinema and theatre, including Germaine Dulac and Carl Theodor Dreyer, for whom he designed the sets of Vampyr.
