Serhii Lysenko was born in 1964 in Kyiv, USSR (now Ukraine). Graduated from the filmmaking department of Karpenko-Karyi National University of Cinema, Theater and Television (Kyiv, 1986). 1986 - short-length diploma film Konets kanikul (1986) .
