Paulo Alegria

Biography

Was born in Oliveira de Azeméis in 1970, and has been living in Viana do Castelo for thirty years, where he has produced most of his work. After a long journey through graphic design and the music industry he has worked exclusively in photography, documenting how modernity changes traditional values and local sociability. In the last decade he was in charge of the cinematography for the film Alto do Minho and the author of the books Pilgrims, Lean Culture, Good Devils and Earth Water Wind.
