Biography

Mimi Pickering is the director/editor of The Buffalo Creek Flood: An Act of Man, which was selected by the Librarian of Congress for inclusion in the National Film Registry in 2005, and the update Buffalo Creek Revisited. Pickering’s documentaries often feature women as principle storytellers, focus on struggles for equity and justice, and explore the efforts of grassroots communities to address issues that frequently reflect global concerns.
