Biography

Miguel Sabido (born November 20, 1937, in Mexico City) is a Mexican screenwriter, director, and producer. His feature-film work includes writing and directing Celestina (1976), an adaptation of La Celestina by Fernando de Rojas, co-written with Margarita Villaseñor. He studied in Rome in 1972 with Pier Paolo Pasolini on a UNAM scholarship. His later feature Santo Luzbel (1996) is a Spanish–Nahuatl drama produced with IMCINE and Producciones Nuevo Sol, and it won the Diosa de Plata for Best Scree…
