Kamal Ahmed (20 April 1937 – 22 July 1997) was a prominent Pakistani film music director. Active from 1967 to 1997, he composed music for over 100 Urdu and Punjabi films—the second-highest number of film scores for Urdu movies after M. Ashraf. ​He gained his major breakthrough with the hit film Rangeela (1970) and went on to score numerous classic films such as Dil Aur Duniya (1971), Wada (1976), and Salakhain (1977).
