Ivan Terziev was a distinguished Bulgarian film director, screenwriter, and educator. He graduated in Acting from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia in 1958 and later pursued Film Directing at the State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, completing his studies in 1966.
