Gelo Gibaga

Biography

Gelo Gibaga (b. 2004) is a writer, poet, and student-filmmaker born and raised in Pasig City, Philippines. Born to diasporic parents, he is drawn to stories that exist in liminal spaces—fragile and continually negotiated against the realities and politics of the external world. While studying in South Korea, he filmed his experimental short "Bente-Siyete," which went on to become a Sinepiyu XVIII finalist.
