Biography

Gao Yuan, born in Kunming, China in 1986, completed a BA in animation arts at the Communication University of China in 2009. Her short animation "Lunar Dial" (2016) screened at Vancouver International Film Festival, Hong Kong International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, and DOK Leipzig. In 2019, her script "Cloud of the Unknown" received the grant Script and Project Development Bright Future from the Hubert Bals Fund of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
