Eiichi Ikegami (池上 永一, Ikegami Eiichi, born May 24, 1970) is a Japanese novelist from Okinawa Prefecture. His real name is Shinya Matayoshi (又吉 真也, Matayoshi Shin'ya). Born in Naha City, he grew up on Ishigaki Island from the age of three until he graduated from junior high school.
