Denis Girisken

Biography

Denis Girisken is a director and writer born in Hamburg, Germany. His work explores subcultural tension and urban identity — from the crime drama Empathy BX (2012) to the documentary A Barber in the Bronx (2015) and the neo-noir The Dead King (2015). Since 1998, he has also been active as a record producer and founder of the independent labels Neptune Records and Rootspark.
