Damir Kabekovich Manabaev (Kazakh: Дамир Кабекеұлы Манабай; born 11 June 1946; Shymkent) is a Soviet and Kazakh film director and screenwriter. His films "Surzhekey-angel of death" and "Kek" are participants and prize-winners of international film festivals. Graduated from the Shymkent Polytechnic; directing faculty of VGIK (master. Yu.
