Cecile van Welie

Biography

Cecile van Welie was born on January 6th, 2002, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At 8, she starred in her first play and continued her theater training until landing her first film role at 12. Ever since then, Cecile has pursued a career in film acting, working on multiple projects. Her first starring role as Sara in the Argentine-Dominican film Carajita (2021) earned her two acting nominations.
