Berta Saldaña

Biography

Berta Saldaña trained as a journalist and, drawing on this experience, began working as a filmmaker on the newsreel Nuevo Perú (1970-1980) during the governments of Velasco Alvarado and Morales Bermúdez. During the Belaúnde Terry administration, she continued producing the newsreel Andino (until 1983).
