Alex Scarpa

Biography

Alex Scarpa was born in Trento, Italy, in 1988. He directed his first short film, Luce spenta, in 2014. He subsequently worked as assistant director alongside filmmakers Razi Mohebi and Soheila Javaheri on Cittadini del nulla (2015), Cittadini del Mondo (2015), and Una casa sulle nuvole (2018). In 2018 he directed Stakhanov, awarded a Special Mention at the Edera Film Festival and selected at the ICFF — Italian Contemporary Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
