Aleksandr Nikolaevich Baranov (Kazakh: Александр Николаевич Баранов; born March 20, 1955; Alma-Ata) is a Soviet, Kazakh and Russian film director, screenwriter and producer. In 1985 he graduated from the script Department of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov.
