Alejandro Monteverde, whose full name is José Alejandro Gómez Monteverde, was born on July 13, 1977, in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He is a filmmaker known for directing movies such as Bella, Little Boy, and Sound of Freedom. Monteverde gained recognition with his debut film, Bella, which won the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2006.
