Akira Takeuchi (竹内昭, Takeuchi Akira, December 19, 1960) is an animator, animation director and mechanical designer from Osaka Prefecture, Japan. He has worked as an animator on several animes, such as Clever Sarutobi (Sasuga no Sarutobi), Captain Tsubasa, and High School! Kimengumi. He also has worked as a mechanical designer in series such as Game Center Arashi, Clever Sarutobi (Sasuga no Sarutobi) and Saiyuki.
