Overview

The film builds a two-line narrative frameworkspanning five hundred years: five hundred years ago, Sun Wukong was saved by Xiu Niang before going To the we st, and there was an emotional bond. Xiu Niang's search for her husband failed and turned into a white bone spirit; five hundred years la ter, the four masters and apprentices passed through the white bone cave and launched an intellectu Al struggle with the white bone spirit group.
