STRIKE BREAKER

Overview

Strikebreaker is a short experimental film following a boxer who fights not for fame or money, but simply to survive. The story is presented partly through two people discussing the mysterious figure of the “Strikebreaker”, making him feel more like an urban legend than an ordinary boxer. The film combines gritty boxing footage, beach and urban locations, graffiti and training sequences to create a raw and realistic atmosphere. Colour grading and music are used heavily to communicate the character’s isolation, determination and struggle, with inspiration taken from cinema and contemporary UK underground music videos.
