Overview

Shajar traces the fractured life of a child reimagined as a sapling, his hunger to grow, to play, and to learn set against a society that offers only ridicule and use. Told through a non-linear, fragmented structure, the film resists a single timeline, circling instead around moments of tenderness and violation until they blur into one another, much like memory itself.
