Overview

The discovery of an unknown virus in a young man leads to frantic activity on the part of the state apparatus. Fearing an epidemic, they want to send the man to a quarantine camp. A magistrate judge, to whom the case is presented, resists political pressure and refuses to admit him. In doing so, he puts himself in danger.
