Overview

Nothing Planned deals in after-images. From the hallucinatory flicker of oscillating film projectors to the apparitions peering back from his found subjects; Lary 7’s audio/visual assemblages imprint on the mind’s eye a picture of what’s “not junk yet”. Built from the workhorses of an image-making industry now gone bloodless, these teetering assemblages whir, tick, slice and warp their own mechanical and optical logic, held together mostly by invention — equally ready to sing as to sputter a last gasp.
