Overview

The planned epic adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s 1904 novel. Plagued by pre-production rewrites and the director's declining health, the project was ultimately cancelled when Lean died in April 1991, just six weeks before filming was scheduled to begin in Almería, Spain.
