NGOBER

Overview

Ucok and Biyan consume pills and alcohol, imagining themselves at a discotheque, sipping expensive drinks though in reality, they are in a small rented room, drinking a bottle of *tuak* (traditional palm wine) before collapsing onto the mattress, exhausted. They continue to talk about the dreams they have failed to achieve since leaving their hometown, conjuring up vivid mental images of what life would be like if they actually possessed everything they desired. In their minds, it all becomes real, even if it isn't in the world outside.
